Pineapple Upsidedown Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 & 1/2 cup Butter

  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar light or dark 

  • 1 can Pineapple rings

  • Maraschino cherries

  • 3/4 cup Sugar 

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • 1 Yellow Cake Mix Box

Most of my family has lived in the United States all their life and one of our favorite desserts is the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake. My grandma loved pineapples and all fruit and so this cake quickly was adapted into our family tradition.

Steps:

1. Heat butter and cover pan with butter. Sprinkle on top of butter layer of brown sugar

2. Add on top of brown sugar pineapple rings and cherries

3. Make cake box as directed, and add pineapple juice to the mix

4. Bake as directed on the box

5. Take out of the oven, let cool

6. Flip cake!
